YOGA CLASS DESCRIPTION
A total Yoga experience beginning with controlled breathing and stretching, leading into balancing and standing poses. Light weights sometimes used during standing and balancing poses.

Energizing Sun Salutations heat up the body for the slower backbends and forward bends that follow. Seated twists round out this sequence for flexibility gains throughout the whole body.

More Sun Salutations follow, this time incorporating standing poses linked together with controlled breathing.

The final poses include  legs against the wall (or poses for the days theme)

Music is played throughout the class to set the mood. Blocks and straps are used to modify the poses for different body types and physical limitations. Students are non-competitive, tolerant and compassionate towards each other.

Class is suitable for beginners, with options shown for advanced/flexible students. New poses are added every few weeks.

Class ends with  Relaxation, with students lying on their backs (neck & eye pillows provided by studio)
